I love Ultimate Mixed Martial Arts for my son-I am an adult that used to box and have seen other styles of martial arts like traditional tae kwon do and Judo. Tae Kwon Do -not very practical sign him up in that he will get beat up in a real self defense situation. Judo the way it’s taught it will take years to learn the good stuff and there is no punching or kicking to defend so it is not complete .Those styles have not been modernized in years and I don’t think are very practical for the modern day self defense situations. I wanted a martial arts style that my son could grow with and at Ultimate Martial Arts he has learned punching, kicking, takedown, wrestling and submissions. Now we are talking this stuff works.
